What’s in a name? The irony of a business called ‘Peony Whites’ that focuses on colour!
I chose the name because it reflects the delicate balance and beauty of colours that like a peony, change with light and time. But why white? Because there’s thousands of shades of white and without a calm neutral base it’s hard to truly appreciate colour.
Peony Whites was created in 2018 as an interior design business that now specialises in colour consultations, dedicated to helping clients unlock the full potential of their living spaces. In recent years, I’ve also been honing my skills as an abstract artist, channeling my inner desires to really express myself and my experiences through the medium of paint and to really have fun with colour! I noticed through my design practice how few people actually had original works of art on their walls and wanted more people to enjoy the escapism of abstraction; to have the chance to open up to feelings and emotions separate from a computer screen. Often a piece of art will be the key to turning what was an okay space into an amazing space.
With a background in interior design from the University of the Arts London and a degree in History of Art, I bring a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for colour, texture and light.
With over 25 years of experience in renovating and developing properties, along with helping countless clients, I bring a deep understanding and expertise to every project.
